Peter Pan at Villagers Theatre

“Clap your hands if you believe!!”  I believe Villagers has a hit on their hands.

Peter, Wendy, Michael & John fly off to Never Land and take us all with them.  The Lost Boys are charming, the Indians are mysterious, the Pirates are hysterical and Hook is… well… Perfect!!

Peter Pan is playing weekends from 1-29-10 to 2-14-10 at the Villagers Theatre in Somerset, NJ.  Come and enjoy this magical production, bring the whole family… You will be happy you did!!

Beauty and the Beast

Villagers Theatre is performing Beauty and the Beast this weekend.  This is a “Miniature Musical Makers” production.  The kids are wonderful, charming and funny. Opening night was perfect and it was standing room only.  I think there are a few seats left for this one weekend showing.

enjoy the photos

Megan & Emma

We visited our wonderful friends Megan and Emma yesterday… They were all dressed up in their flower girl dresses from their Uncle Peter’s wedding last Friday.  Poor Emma was too sick to attend and missed the whole thing!!   This was a worry of mom Nikki since the beginning of flu and cold season.  Uncle Peter and  Aunt Dena have promised to dress up after they get home from their honeymoon, and take some pictures together with both girls in their dresses…

In the mean time we visited them in their beautiful home for some wonderful  photos of the girls all dressed up.  They came out great, the girls were so wonderful and posed for a few formal shots but  of course the candid shots are the treasures…

we can’t wait to come back in a few months and see how they have grown…

Those Damn Yankees

We all have baseball fever at our house these days, and we have been cheering Go Yankees.  Now our cry is WOW those Damn Yankees!!    The Main Stage at Villagers Theatre is home to “Damn Yankees”.  The performances run from November 6 – 22nd… Perfect timing!!    The show is laugh out loud funny… the singing and dancing is wonderful and the performers really do a fantastic job of entertaining you from beginning to end.

We attended the dress rehearsal which was a standing room only packed house.  If you are having a little baseball withdrawal, or if you just want an evening of laughing and complete entertainment, you should check out the show at Villagers.  Once again they don’t disappoint!!

See you in the locker room.

Mulan Comes to Villagers Theatre

Mulan is being performed by the KidsVill Company at the Villagers Theatre.

Last weekend and this weekend the Black Box is home to the amazing performances of the Kids of Villagers.  Since it is a KidsVill performance… they are in the Black Box.  The setting is informal and inviting.  The children in the audience are invited to have a seat up close on the blankets, where they can really get a good look at the performers and the scenery.  The music is great and Mulan has a wonderful message for children … of every age.  Tickets are only $10 and seats are limited so act quickly.

Emily’s Bat Mitzvah

Emily and her family had a wonderful night at Jumping Brook Country Club.

Emily beamed as she and her family and crazy friends danced the night away, and her parents couldn’t have been prouder.  They love the photos that were captured that night and so do we… enjoy

Checking in at Villagers

For the next 3 weeks the Villagers Theatre is home to “What the Bellhop Saw”.

This comedy is a laughing good time.  The slapstick antics and witty banter keep you entertained from beginning to the final curtain.

“Bellhop” is Fun!!  It is amazing how much trouble a few people can get into in one hotel room!!

What the Bellhop Saw is running until October 4, 2009

Go check it out!!

Villagers Theatre Performs Rent

The Villagers Theatre Mainstage is the home of Rent for the next 3 weekends.   We were at the technical rehearsal to prepare for our videotaping next weekend, and Anthony took the opportunity to snap off a few (hundred) photos.

The “kids” are blowing the audiences away.  I say kids because this is the High School version of Rent. The language and some of the subject matter is a little more tame, but the messages are clear and the acting and singing is incredible.  It is easy to forget that you are watching High School kids.  They really give you everything they have.

The performances are spectacular and the music is first rate.  Go see Rent at the Villagers and enjoy the great local and young talent.

The Mainstage at the Villagers Does it Again!

Well, as mentioned in our last post, the Villagers Theatre Mainstage is now performing “Cats”.  We attended their last technical rehearsal/seniors’ performance on Thursday evening so that we could get our blocking and audio feeds. We will be recording the Sunday June 14th performance of the show.  I grabbed some photos to use for the DVD artwork and menus and I wanted to post them here as a little teaser.  Whether you’ve seen this play dozens of times or  you have never seen Cats before, the cast and crew at the Villagers serve it up BIG.  I felt like I was back at the Winter Garden Theatre some 20+ years ago.  This is a great show for the entire family, in-fact our kids can’t wait until the 14th.  Our daughter wants to adopt Sillabub,  and honestly we can’t blame her.  You will surely leave this production with a new found appreciation for our feline friends.

Kudos to the entire cast & crew!!  Break-a-Leg!

IF you are interested in seeing the show, the remaining dates are:

Friday June 12th 8:00pm, Saturday June 13th 8:00pm, Sunday June 14th 2:00pm

Friday June 19th 8:00pm, Saturday June 20th 8:00pm, Sunday June 21st 2:00pm

For ticket please visit the Villagers’ website or box-office.

Proud to Be Producing for the Villagers Theatre

We are so proud and excited to be working with the “Villagers Theatre” of Somerset.

We recently produced the Villagers Theatre’s  MMM’s production of Guys & Dolls.  The kids were astonishing and gave a world class performance.  The show was sheer entertainment from the first note of the overture.

We are looking forward to producing videos for this summer’s performances of “Cats” coming in early June and “Rent” in July.  The Villagers Theatre never disappoints so if you are looking for some great entertainment, and our own local slice of “Broadway”, featuring some exciting talent that promises to knock your socks off, give Villagers a call and reserve your seats for these sure-to-sellout performances.

See you at the Theatre
