The Villagers Theatre Mainstage is the home of Rent for the next 3 weekends. We were at the technical rehearsal to prepare for our videotaping next weekend, and Anthony took the opportunity to snap off a few (hundred) photos.
The “kids” are blowing the audiences away. I say kids because this is the High School version of Rent. The language and some of the subject matter is a little more tame, but the messages are clear and the acting and singing is incredible. It is easy to forget that you are watching High School kids. They really give you everything they have.
The performances are spectacular and the music is first rate. Go see Rent at the Villagers and enjoy the great local and young talent.
Well, as mentioned in our last post, the Villagers Theatre Mainstage is now performing “Cats”. We attended their last technical rehearsal/seniors’ performance on Thursday evening so that we could get our blocking and audio feeds. We will be recording the Sunday June 14th performance of the show. I grabbed some photos to use for the DVD artwork and menus and I wanted to post them here as a little teaser. Whether you’ve seen this play dozens of times or you have never seen Cats before, the cast and crew at the Villagers serve it up BIG. I felt like I was back at the Winter Garden Theatre some 20+ years ago. This is a great show for the entire family, in-fact our kids can’t wait until the 14th. Our daughter wants to adopt Sillabub, and honestly we can’t blame her. You will surely leave this production with a new found appreciation for our feline friends.
Kudos to the entire cast & crew!! Break-a-Leg!

We are so proud and excited to be working with the “Villagers Theatre” of Somerset.
We recently produced the Villagers Theatre’s MMM’s production of Guys & Dolls. The kids were astonishing and gave a world class performance. The show was sheer entertainment from the first note of the overture.
We are looking forward to producing videos for this summer’s performances of “Cats” coming in early June and “Rent” in July. The Villagers Theatre never disappoints so if you are looking for some great entertainment, and our own local slice of “Broadway”, featuring some exciting talent that promises to knock your socks off, give Villagers a call and reserve your seats for these sure-to-sellout performances.
